I got the hat today! Yay!

It is lovely!
It feels so soft and smooth.
I love the fuzzy ears.
And the fit is perfect.

It must be the best bear hat in the world.

At AggieCon 35 a Klingon and Teal'c from Stargate Sg-1 endorse Platypus Dreams products.

A klingon wearing a Platypus Dreams scarf and headband. Teal'c look-alike wearing a Platypus Dreams fuzzy dog hat.

[For you legal-types out there... these are product endorsements by people wearing costumes that resemble these characters, not the characters or actors themselves.]

I got the monkey hat! It's sooo great--it's even cuter than it looked on the website, and I love it. Thank you so much--I can't wait until Halloween...but you can bet that I'll be wearing it a lot before that.

Very cute eared hats from Kathy Bateman. These knitted caps come with the choice of dog ears, devil horns, triceratops spikes, even a version of Hello Kitty's bow. You can pick your ear flaps as well as the color, and she's also open to custom work, if it's possible. Future styles include bunnies, elves, unicorns, and mobius-shaped Klein Bottles (I'd LOVE to see how that one turns out!)

Look! My kitty hat!

I cannot express to you the profound joy I find in having my very own, built-to-order kitty hat. At AggieCon during a Q&A session with Neil Gaiman (oh, I am shameless), I found myself captivated by a kitty hat with a note tacked to the back, directing interested parties to the art room. Turns out, Kathy lives in the same town I do and is friends with lots of people I know.

So now I see her every Monday night for Game Night (no LANs allowed), and I have my own, wonderful, adorable kitty hat. (It's made from cotton yarn, in case you were wondering when I might ever wear a hat in Texas.) The best part? If you go to Platypus Dreams, you can commission your own hat! (More than just kitties, no less.)
